Extreme vehicles.

This 4th blog post will be on vehicles. The extreme vehicles, mainly cars.

Here is the fastest street legal car in the world:

At 412 km/h as its maximum speed, the Shelby Super Cars Ultimate Aero TwinTurbo is the world's fastest street legal car. It does 0-100 in 2.7 secs. it has a Twin-Turbo V8 Engine which produces an amazing 1183 hp, and has a base price is $654,400 USD. Tested in March 2007 by Guinness world records, The SSC Ultimate Aero takes the lead as the fastest car in the world beating Bugatti Veyron which is currently in 2nd.

Here are the claimed fastest production car, but it has not been confirmed by the guiness book of records.

1.The Barabus TKR has been unveiled and this machine is absolutely astounding. it has a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V8 and is claimed to do 0 to 100 kp/h in a mere 1.67 seconds, and on to a top speed of 435 km/h. But with all these interesting and almost impossible numbers, it is still not recognized as the fastest car by many.

2. This car, although is not the fastest car, but i remember clearly when playing the game Test Drive on my Xbox, i enjoyed driving and buying all the expensive houses and owning over 20 vehicles worth millions in real life (and also being caught by the police several times). I clearly remember my fastest car i owned, the Koenigsegg. But even with its amazing speed after being tuned, there was still one car which was faster. Just that one car in that game. And that car, is the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve. And the reason i couldn't buy it was because I had to obtain gold in all the races to be allowed to purchase this car, which was a waste of time. But having looked in many Internet sources, none talked about it being one of the fastest cars.

Here are the specifications of the car:

Engine: 6.0 L / 365 ci quad-turbocharged V12
Horsepower: 1,252 hp (934 kW) @ 5750 rpm
Top Speed 248 mph (399 km/h)

But even with all these amazing numbers, it is not recognized as one of the fastest cars. Which means i still own the fastest recognised car in real life possible to be bought in the X-box. yay!

Here is the world's fastest land vehicle (definitely non-legal)

The fastest vehicle would be the Thrust SSC. Here is some information about it, but i shall not blog too much about this as it looks more like a rocket than a car). Anyway, the Thrust SSC broke the sound barrier back in October 15, 1997. It achieved a speed of 1,149 km/h (763 mph) and the SSC became the first land vehicle to officially break the sound barrier. The Thrust SSC also has the the manned land speed record under its belt and has not been beaten to this day.

Now, on to the other extreme components, which are still on land vehicles.

Now, presenting to you, the world's longest car.

The longest car is a 30.5 meter limousine. The 26 wheeled car was mainly used for promotion and films. The longest car in the world is better equipped than many Hollywood mansions, including luxuries like a large Jacuzzi tub, a sun deck, a helipad, a swimming pool (with a diving board of course), a king sized bed and a satellite dish, just to list a few.

Longest Limo-car

Not the longest, but looks cool. Its a lamborghini Limo.

Now, lets move on to...the world's...biggest land vehicles.

I wasn't able to find the largest car, but since a truck is also sort of like a car...then this should qualify...

and here is another...

Which is the biggest? Which one is the biggest ? The one at the top of the one at the bottom?

This truck is 224 tons heavy when empty, is 7.4 metres tall over the canopy, 14.5 metres long with a wheelbase of 6.6 metres. It can carry loads of 400 tons . So that's an overall weight 624 tonnes when it is fully loaded. (details of the truck in the 2nd picture)

and here is another (monster truck)

The biggest monster truck is the TruckBigfoot 5. Bigfoot 5 weighs 12.7 tonnes and stands 4.7meters tall.

Next up, the world's smallest car (which is my favourite one since it's road legal and practical if it had reverse)

Presenting to you, The Peel P50. (MUST WATCH!!!)

Hoped you enjoyed this blog and the funny and interesting videos.

Bugatti Veyron

Hi world. My 3rd blog post will be on another sports car. For this post, i will be talking about the one of the most incredible cars. The Bugatti Veyron.

Produced in 2005 an having ended in the late 2008, two hundred and twenty Veyrons were being built. When it was built, it was the fastest street legal car in the world. Now, it is currently the 2nd fastest car in the world, behind the SSC Ultimate Aero tt.

However, the Bugatti Veryon is just, more special...it is just so special, so magical. This car is really the future of what cars will be.

If you wonder why the Bugatti Veyron is that special, here is your answer.

A W-16 engine that can produce 1,001 horsepower
A top speed of 400km/h
A 0-to-100 time of 3 seconds
A 0-to-300 time of 14 seconds

All these numbers have not been seen in any other car. These numbers have broken barriers. It has broken records. 1001 horsepower is such a special number, breaking off from the 3 digit numbers to the 4th. Breaking off from the 300+km/h barrier into the 400+km/h zone. These are just some facts of what makes the Veyron such as special car.

The Veyron is a real engineering marvel. If you're wondering why, here is why:

A Veyron has a 16-liter V-8 engine, which would obviously be very large. And the pistons would be just massive. Clearly an engine that big is impossible in a passenger car. So how did Bugatti ever fit 1,001 horsepower into a street legal passenger car?

Well, here is the answer.A Veyron uses turbocharges. This helps to to reduce the size of the engine from 16 liters back down to a more manageable 8 liters. And to do this, the Veyron uses 4 turbocharges. Another problem arrives when this happens. A lot of heat is produced. This is why the Veyron has air vents to let air from the outside flow into the inside to cool the engines. The Veyron has two reasons for managing airflow:
At maximum power, the engine is consuming 45,000 liters of air per minute.
At maximum power, the engine is burning 1.33 gallons of gasoline per minute and needs to dissipate all of that heat through its radiators.

Having solved 2 problems, the engineers still have a few other problems to solve. One of the biggest problems would be the aerodynamics. How do you keep a 400km/h street passenger car on the road? Usually, cars which are able to reach up to those speeds like the formula one car (non-street legal) has a uniquely designed body, a single driver lying in a reclining position, just an inch or so of ground clearance and an aero-package made up of large wings to generate massive downforce. The Bugatti, on the other hand, is trying to look like a normal car and it has two seats for passengers.

The dimensions of the Veyron are of some help. The car is 200 cm wide, 447 cm long and only 122 cm high. And do note that the Veyron is extremely wide for a car of its height. Even a Hummer 2 is not as wide as it it.

Another factor which helps the Veryon is the underside of it. Like an F-1 car, is streamlined and venturi-shaped to increase downforce. There is also a wing in the back of the Veyron that extends automatically at high speed to increase downforce and keep the car glued to the road. The Veyron is also relatively heavy to keep it on the ground at its maximum speed.

In conclusion. the Bugatti Veyron is truly a great car. A great engineering marvel. And a great thing for me to blog about. I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and to end it off, here are some pictures, a random youtube and a Top Gear video. =)
